I serve as the Nurse Supervisor at the Whitley County Health Department, where I have been a dedicated leader in public health for the past two and a half years. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of the Cumberlands and bring a strong clinical foundation to my supervisory role.
Prior to joining the Whitley County Health Department, I served as a Charge Nurse on the telemetry floor at Baptist Health Corbin, where I developed a strong foundation in acute care and team leadership within a high-pressure clinical environment. That experience prepared me well for the transition into public health, where I now apply those skills to serve the broader community by focusing on disease prevention, health education, and communicable disease management to improve outcomes across the county.
In my current role, I aim to lead with both clinical insight and compassion, supporting innovative health initiatives and ensuring quality care for the residents I serve. I am passionate about building stronger, healthier communities in southeastern Kentucky and am excited to join the Kentucky Leadership Institute to grow as a leader, connect with others who share my values, and bring fresh ideas back to Whitley County.
