Dalen TraoreMPH

Dalen obtained his Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of Evansville in 2018. During his studies, he also participated in basketball as a student-athlete. His passion for public health led him to pursue a Master of Public Health degree at the same university in 2019. In 2019, Dalen was honored to receive the Public Health Community Scholar Award from the University of Evansville. Concurrently, he worked as a Regulatory Coordinator at Deaconess Health System in the Clinical Trial space for three years. After spending over a year at the Green River District Health Department, he joined the Kentucky Department for Public Health in 2022. Dalen has also been active in presenting abstracts, such as “Student Perceptions and Attitudes Regarding Mental Health,” which was accepted for presentation at the 33rd Business and Health Administration Association (BHAA) Conference in Chicago in March 2020. He also co-authored an abstract titled “Investigation of a Healthcare-Associated Mpox Exposure Event,” presented at the 2024 Kentucky Public Health Association Conference (KPHA) and the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE). Moreover, he was recognized as a Rise Up Award Winner for demonstrating hard work, dedication, and commitment to serving the commonwealth of Kentucky. In 2024, Dalen joined the Kentucky Department for Public Health Quality Improvement Committee. His goal is to utilize his public health knowledge to create a positive impact and make a difference in the lives of others.
