Jennifer Toribio Naas has worked for the Kentucky Department for Public Health (KDPH) since April 2018. She currently serves as the Health Program Administrator for the Kentucky Prescription Assistance Program (KPAP). Jennifer began her career in public service by working in the mental health field. She then began working as a Social Services Clinician for the Department for Community Based Services and her role included investigating cases of child abuse, neglect, and dependency. After nearly five years of working at DCBS, Jennifer decided to make a career change and began working for the Kentucky Department for Public Health. In her role with KPAP, she works to help Kentuckians access sources of free and low-cost medications offered by pharmaceutical companies. The program began in 2009 and in July 2023 they reached the huge milestone of having saved Kentuckians over one billion dollars in prescription costs. Jennifer also serves as the Co-Chair for the Division of Performance and Quality Improvement’s Morale Team.
Jennifer received her BA in Psychology with minors in Sociology and Religion from Transylvania University, and a Master of Social Work from the University of Kentucky College of Social Work. She is licensed as a Certified Social Worker through the Kentucky Board of Social Work. She has also been a Certified Community Health Worker since October 2022.
When not working or volunteering, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband, their 3-year old daughter, and their two Yorkies and two cockatiels.
