Amy Holliday-Conley is a Kentucky native. She has been a nurse for 24 years. Amy received her Associates of Applied Science in Nursing from Hazard Community College, a division of the University of Kentucky. She also holds a Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University where she became a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society. During her 24 years in health care, she has worked in various settings including long term care and home health, with the last 14 years being in public health.
Amy is also Co-Founder and a board member of the grassroots organization; The Montgomery County Homeless Coalition. She founded the coalition in 2014 with her daughter and served as president for over seven years. The Montgomery County Homeless Coalition was established as a non-profit 501c3. Most recently, the coalition has successfully constructed the Sterling House. This house will serve several functions; one half will serve as an inclement weather center, while the other half will be used as transitional house. With full community collaboration on the Sterling House project, the dream to provide shelter to those in need during life threatening weather has become a reality in a few short years. The opening of the Sterling House has been scheduled for November 1, 2022.
