 Charles Herrington is a Food Manufacturing Inspector for the Kentucky Department for Public Health. The Kentucky Food Safety Branch Food Manufacturing Section is responsible for the regulatory oversight of all firms manufacturing, processing, packaging, and holding of human food in Kentucky. As Charles travels the state to complete regulatory inspections, he thrives on being able to serve the people in Kentucky and make a meaningful impact to the industry. 

Charles earned his bachelor’s degree from Wartburg College, majoring in Business Administration and Fitness Management in Waverly, IA. He also studied the Culinary Arts at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Minneapolis/St. Paul. It was after completing the culinary program when Charles discovered his passion for all things food. Charles has accumulated nearly a decade of experience in food safety, as he worked for various companies across the country including Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. There, Charles was responsible for delivering Food Safety Training, including Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point training for other employees. 

He currently resides in Lancaster with his wife, Taban. Together, they enjoy spending time outdoors and taking on all sorts of adventures with their pets Chloe (golden retriever), Hermey (bunny), and Edith (parakeet).
