My name is Jimmie Hampton, and I serve as the Training Program Coordinator at the Emergency Preparedness and Response Branch within the Kentucky Department for Public Health. I have over 24 years of hands-on experience as a paramedic, firefighter, and former local Emergency Management director in Rowan County. My current responsibilities primarily involve planning, managing, and orchestrating training activities, then integrating them into the operations of the KDPH. By fostering collaborative partnerships and strategic planning, I engage with stakeholders at both the state and local levels, with the goal of developing comprehensive emergency response strategies. I am very excited to have the opportunity to help develop and improve the department’s capabilities to enhance our overall response capacity and hope that our efforts ultimately contribute to the creation of safer and more resilient communities in the Commonwealth.
