Dr. Ferrell is a maternal and child health epidemiologist at the Kentucky Department for Public Health, where she has worked for a dozen years. In this capacity she has led a variety of projects spanning from preconception through early childhood. Her professional interests include program evaluation, data linkage, and mentoring the next generation of MCH epidemiologists. She holds a DrPH in advanced practice public health leadership from the University of South Florida.
