Rachael Culver is a licensed social worker employed by Lincoln Trail District Health Department, currently residing in Springfield, Kentucky. She has worked for Lincoln Trail District Health Department for eight years within the HANDS Program (Health Access Nurturing Development Services). Rachael graduated summa cum laude from Western Kentucky University in 2010 with her bachelor’s degree in social work. Before beginning her work with Lincoln Trail District Health Department, she worked for the Pennyrile Area Development District for five years as a case manager and the Aging and Disability Resource Center Coordinator.
Rachael found her passion in working with young families after becoming a mother herself and seeing the support new mothers need. The positive impact on young families through the HANDS Program is what motivates Rachael to continue her career in public health. The HANDS Program offers support and education to families through a curriculum called Growing Great Kids and Growing Great Families. Rachael was recently promoted to supervisor within the HANDS program after seeing the need for expansion in the Nelson County area.
Although Rachael has worked with hundreds of children throughout the HANDS Program, her favorite two children call her Mom. Rachael has a nine year old son, Harrison, and a six year old daughter, Millie. Rachael is married to Joshua Culver, who is a middle school teacher and high school soccer coach. Outside of work, Rachael enjoys spending time with her family, listening to podcasts, and reading.
