DeAnna has a degree in Human Services and a passion for helping others. She is new to Public Health, with her first experience in the field being a Disease Investigator during the Covid pandemic. Her previous work experience includes teaching in elementary schools and running her own disability advocacy business. DeAnna’s passion for teaching and helping others makes her current role at the Grayson County Health Department very fulfilling and enjoyable. She works in the Health Academy as an educator, supervisor, and co-organizer of community events. She and her co-workers’ most recent projects include organizing and teaching classes for new and expectant parents, teaching sexual risk avoidance in middle school and high school, and organizing a 5k for breast cancer awareness. When not working, DeAnna enjoys running, reading, and family time with her husband and 3 children.
