Originally from Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, Joy Andrade is the Team Lead for the Kentucky Department for Public Health’s Lab Surveillance team. She received her Bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Kentucky and is currently finishing up her Master of Public Health at Western Kentucky University. She hopes to use her knowledge and experience to drive positive change within Kentucky’s public health system. When she is not working or studying, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two adorable dogs. Additionally, she serves on the board of directors for the homeless and housing coalition of Kentucky and was appointed as a board member for the Lexington-Fayette County Homelessness Prevention and Intervention Board.
